Our Dentists
DR JEFF PURCELL BDSc (Melb)
Dr Purcell was born and raised in Melbourne, where he completed Bachelor of dental science at the University of Melbourne in 1975. Dr Purcell has since had extensive experience working in private dental practices in Melbourne, including running his own clinic as principal dentist, before making the sea change to Gold Coast in 2004.
He is highly experienced in all aspects of general & family dentistry, including dentures, with a special interest in periodontal disease (gum disease) treatment.
Jeff has a relaxed & easy-going personality, which along with his sense of humour, helps to make his patients feel at ease.
When he is not in the surgery Jeff enjoys travelling & spending time with his wife, children & grandchildren.
DR Kim-Mei Han BDSc (Dublin)
Dr Kim-Mei Han obtained her bachelor in dental science from Trinity college, Dublin, Ireland, in 2010 & has worked in private practice in Ireland and Australia ever since.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially endodontics (root canal treatments) and cosmetic dental work such as crowns, veneers & bridges. She is also an AADFA certified provider of anti-wrinkle & facial filler treatments and is passionate about keeping up with the latest in dental technology by attending continuous professional development courses.
Kim-Mei's patients particularly appreciate her gentle yet thorough approach to her work and she enjoys helping nervous patients and children get over their fear of going to the dentist.
Originally from Malaysia, Kim-Mei is fluent in English, Manadarin and Malay. When not in her scrubs, she can be found enjoying the outdoor Gold Coast lifestyle with her furchild, little dachshund Missoni, cooking, travelling and checking out the latest restaurants.
DR Sam Huang BDSc (Gold Coast)
Dr Sam Huang obtained his bachelor in dental science here on the Gold Coast at Griffith University's dental school. His patients enjoy his gentle yet thorough care in all of his procedures. Sam's areas of interest include restorative dentistry & surgical procedures, including removal of wisdom teeth. He is fluent in both English & Mandarin. In his spare time Sam enjoys fishing & watching movies and TV dramas.
