Regular preventive dental care is an important part of oral health maintenance & professional dental cleaning visits are essential to remove any tough plaque and get a thorough, professional clean.

Regular checkups also help detect any issues before they become problematic or painful.

During a clean & checkup appointment, your dentist will check the health of your teeth & the integrity of past dental work. He/she will also remove plaque and tartar from your teeth, along with any staining from everyday foods, coffee, tobacco or red wine. 

An optional remineralizing agent may be applied to strengthen your teeth & help protect them from decay.

 

For health fund members with dental cover all preventive dental care is bulk-billed, so you have no gap to pay, regardless of your level of cover.

 

Bulk-billing is also available for eligible patients under DVA (department of veteran's affairs & Medicare CDBS (child dental benefits scheme).
